Opogo, in partnership with our training provider, offer three national apprenticeship courses that develops skills for learners in educational settings. The result – your fully compliant and accredited TA pipeline.
Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship Level 3
• Typically 12–13 months

Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship with SEND Level 3
• Typically 12–13 months

Specialist Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship Level 5
• Typically 15–18 months

Before entering school, every apprentice will complete a preparation programme designed to build the essential skills for immediate classroom impact.
This bespoke two-day programme equips candidates to work confidently in schools, covering safeguarding, professional conduct and expectations, practical classroom support, alongside Team Teach Level 1 Positive Behaviour Training to manage challenging situations.
Onsite orientation including school specific policies can also be included if required.


Training is fully funded through the Apprenticeship Levy, unlocking existing funding streams to support your school and enable access to high-quality, trained support staff.

Levy-funded payments are managed through the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) and paid directly to our approved training provider, ensuring a fully funded approach.

All administration is managed by Opogo alongside our Ofsted-inspected training provider, ensuring a smooth, compliant experience throughout the full apprenticeship journey.
