Proof of qualifications

Why do I need to supply proof of my qualifications?

All Qualified Teachers and Unqualified Teachers must supply a qualification certificate. This proves that you are qualified for the role you are applying for.

If you are a ‘High Level Teaching Assistant’ you may also be asked to supply a proof of qualifications.

Other Teaching Staff do not need to supply qualifications (unless a school states otherwise) but it is still ideal to submit any qualifications that you have which will help you secure future work.

What documents can I submit?

Qualified Teachers
You are required to supply a copy of your QTS Certificate and may be asked for a copy of your BA/BSc certificate.

Unqualified Teachers
If you are QTLS qualified, you are required to supply a copy of your QTLS certificate. In addition to or alternatively, you may be asked to supply your most recent qualification certificate, i.e. BA/BSc certificate.

High Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
In some instances you will be requested to supply proof of your qualifications. For instance, you may be requested to supply a 'Level 3 early year practitioner certificate' Or 'BSL - British Sign Language certificate'. If you have a recent First Aid certificate and/or have a Team Teach certificate, please submit this.

All other Teaching Staff
You are not required to supply any qualifications, however, if you have qualification certificates it's recommended that you upload it. If you have a recent First Aid certificate and/or have a Team Teach certificate, please submit this.

Why were my documents rejected?
